RSVP for the Celebration of Life for Father Gahan

The Gahan family is planning a celebration of the life of Reverend Colonel Timothy Mannix Gahan, USMC (Retired) in the Quantico, Virginia area on June 2, following the funeral and burial. The gathering will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and will be an opportunity to remember Father Gahan, reconnect, and share food, drink, and stories.

To help the family plan, please complete the RSVP form below if you expect to attend the funeral events and are interested in joining the celebration of life. You will be able to indicate how many people may attend with you. At this stage, an approximate count is most helpful, and it is better for the family to overestimate than underestimate attendance. If you think you may come, please respond as soon as you can.

Because this website is public, the full location of the celebration will not be posted here. Reception details will be shared directly with those who RSVP or who contact Father Gahan’s children privately by phone, text, or email. This is simply to help the family plan appropriately and keep the gathering limited to guests who wish to remember Father Gahan.

For those traveling to attend, the family has arranged hotel accommodations at the Hilton Garden Inn in Woodbridge, Virginia. Information about the discounted hotel rate will be provided in response to your RSVP, along with additional event details.

The form also includes space to share how you knew Father Gahan. His family would especially appreciate knowing whether your connection was through family, his time as a priest, the Marine Corps, or another part of his life. If you knew him outside the family, you are very welcome to add a note about that connection.

Please note that events on Marine Corps Base Quantico require Real ID and base registration in advance of the funeral. The reception itself will not be held on base.
